KVM Compression Ratio on Nimble Storage

We are trying to find out how much space savings we would get from Nimble Storage with KVM. If anyone has any experience and has been running KVM on Nimble.

We'd very much appreciae if you coudl kindly share your experience.

      Thanks in Advance,

KVM is merely a hypervisor layer such like VMware or Hyper-V, and thus whatever is being stored inside the VM itself will determine its compressibility; databases being the best candidate, already-compressed data such as files less so.

On average, generic virtualisation compression ranges between 1.4-1.8x regardless of the deployed hypervisor.

          Hope this helps.
