Nimble arrays spec'd with 10Gb SFP+ NICs will come pre-populated with SFPs for you to be able to use straight out of the gate with LC optical cables.
You can also remove these SFPs should you want to use Twin-Ax cables (also known as DAC cables), which may lower your costs as they are typically cheaper than buying optical cables + SFPs for the switch infrastructure. If you are going to do this, ensure you get the cables from the switch manufacturer in case of compatibility issues.
Hi folks, preparing for installation of a CS300 with onboard 10GbE SFP+ optical ports. This will be connected to an Arista DCS7050 10GbE switch. I know the Arista is very particular about the type of SFP+ module it wants (Arista brand!) but .. does the Nimble side require any specific module (or is the module already built in?). Just trying to get the right parts ordered.
