How to enable a secure tunnel on your array for support to access it.

Visibility: Open to anyone

Just a simple procedure, but it's good to have it here for reference.

(DISCLAIMER: This is valid as of 2015-07-27 for version 2.3.x of Nimble OS. This might be different for future or past versions)

If anyone from support ask you to enable a secure tunnel you can do it following 3 simple steps.

The secure tunnel is used by support to perform pre-agreed diagnostic and recovery operations on your array.

    Summary:

Step1:  Log into your array (https://x.x.x.x on your browser)

Step 2: Go to Administration > Alerts & Monitoring > Autosupport / HTTP Proxy

Step 3:  Click on "Enable Secure Tunnel" and click on "Save".

Also: You must ensure that port 2222 is open for outbound connections to hogan.nimblestorage.com

Note it must be open for the array IP (the one you use to log into the WebUI) and also for the Diagnostic IP addresses for controller A and B.

Then send an email to support informing them that it's active.

Make sure to check that port 2222 is open for outbound connections to hogan.nimblestorage.com (Both on management and diagnostic IP addresses)
